During the Hung Kings' Commemoration Day holiday, An Nhứt rural market (Long Điền commune, Ho Chi Minh City) opened its doors and attracted a large number of locals and tourists to enjoy food in the breezy rice fields.

From around 4 pm each day, the small road in the An Nhứt rice fields gradually became crowded. As evening approached, the number of people increased, making the market area extremely busy. Visitors came here to enjoy a variety of dishes, from cakes and fruits to rural foods, as well as fragrant grilled meats and seafood. And most importantly, to breathe in the fresh, cool air of the summer afternoon in the freshly harvested rice fields.

These simple yet captivating experiences have drawn many visitors back. Some have visited multiple times on their trips. Others, having just arrived one day, return the next to experience different dishes. At times, many tourists spilled onto the rice fields, enjoying delicious food on the straw-covered ground after the harvest.

Mr. Tuan Anh's family (tourists from Dong Nai) said this was their fifth visit to the rural market. "We often stop here after short trips to Ho Tram, Vung Tau, or Phan Thiet. It's a nice stop on our way home, where we can relax and enjoy our favorite dishes," Mr. Tuan Anh said.

Ms. Thuy Van (with a group of friends from Binh Duong) said, "Yesterday we enjoyed dishes like fish spring rolls and fresh rolls... Today we will enjoy seafood, snails, and some cakes and fruits at An Nhut rural market. In my opinion, the food is average, not outstanding, but the experience is wonderful," Ms. Van said.

According to the Long Dien Commune People's Committee, An Nhut rural market usually only operates on weekends. During the Hung Kings Commemoration Day and the April 30th - May 1st holidays, the local market will operate continuously every afternoon for 10 days starting from April 24th to serve locals and tourists who want to experience and enjoy traditional dishes.

Anticipating a large number of visitors, authorities have developed a plan to ensure security and order, and maintain environmental hygiene in the area. Business owners have also been instructed to ensure food safety and hygiene and to operate their businesses in accordance with regulations.
